Moving Tips: Kitchen Cleaning

Whether you are moving out of your old place or moving in to your new home there is nothing more enjoyable than a clean abode. One of the most overlooked cleaning projects is cleaning the cleaning aids. Follow these few steps to clean your dishwasher and it will be sparkly clean in no time…

First, place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of an empty dishwasher. Set the water temperature on hot and run the dishwasher through a cycle. The vinegar will help to wash away the loose, greasy grime, sanitizes, and helps remove the musty odor.  After the cycle completes, sprinkle one cup of baking soda around the bottom of the dishwasher’s tub and then run it through a short cycle on hot. The baking soda will freshen and remove any stubborn stains. Wipe down inside of cooled dishwasher after cycle has completed and watch your dishwasher sparkle! The best part, you can repeat this every six months if necessary making the move out cleaning process that much easier come moving day!
